Google Business Profile checker
See what customers see when they find you on Google, how you compare to the businesses next to you, and what to fix first.
01 Find your business
Which one is you?
Not listed? Try the exact name on your sign plus your town, or your street.
02 Your Google listing
03 You vs. the businesses next to you
04 What to fix first
Listing data from Google Maps.
Why your Google listing matters more than your website
When someone searches "plumber near me" or your business name, the first thing they see is usually your Google listing, not your website. Your stars, your review count, your hours and your photos decide whether they call you or the next business down the list. Many never click through to a website at all.
What this checks
- Reviews: how many you have, compared with the businesses Google shows next to you.
- Rating: your average stars.
- Fresh reviews: how recently someone left one. Steady new reviews tell Google and customers you're active.
- The basics: hours, phone number, website link and photos. Missing any of these costs you calls.
Questions
Where does this information come from?
Straight from Google Maps, at the moment you run the check. It's the same listing your customers see.
Why isn't my business showing up?
Try the exact name on your sign plus your town. If it still doesn't appear, you may not have a Google Business Profile yet, or it may be unverified or suspended. Creating one is free at Google Business Profile.
Is the competitor list the same for everyone?
No. Google changes results based on where the searcher is standing and what they've searched before. Treat it as a snapshot of who you're up against near your address, not a fixed ranking.
Why is there a daily limit?
Looking businesses up on Google costs us money past a free allowance, so we cap checks per day to keep the tool free. If you hit the limit, try again tomorrow.
Do you save what I look up?
No. We look it up, show it to you, and that's it.
Want a heads-up when the next tool is ready?
